MEC annually carries out a large number of contract works, the majority of which is dealing with problems of scientific verification of projects of various types of marine constructions, calculation of environmental loads on sea structures, calculation of their dynamic characteristics or software design and sale to the interested organisations. As an example some works executed in last three years are listed below:

2000-2001

• Development of software for calculating of dynamics of lifting and towing atomic submarine cruiser "Kursk"
• Criteria verification for estimation of potentially dangerous underwater objects.
• Verification calculation of floating platforms behaviour for Shtockmanovskoye gas field.
• Development of additional program modules to be used with the computer program "ANCHORED STRUCTURES".
• Preparation and sale of computer programme package "ANCHORED STRUCTURES".
• Development of program package" Anchored Structures ", version 4.0.

• Analysis of variants of ice-resistant constructions.
• Offers and preliminary estimation of architectural and constructive variants of ice-resistant platforms (IRP) for development of hydrocarbon field at Sakhalin island.
• Formation of the list of architectural and constructive variants of IRP for the project of development of hydrocarbon field Sakhalin - 1 and its technical estimation.
• Calculation of wave and ice impacts on IRP for the project of development of hydrocarbon field Sakhalin - 2.
• The analysis of variants of floating structures for development of Shtockmanovskoye gas field.
• Calculation of platform behaviour under influence of environmental loads.
• Development and improvement of computer program " ANCHORED STRUCTURES ".
• Upgrade of the computer program " ANCHORED STRUCTURES " to version 3.0.
